Angela Eagle launches Real help now for the over 60s
“Those over 60, especially those on a low income, can feel particularly vulnerable during economic downturns.
“The Government is already providing real help to pensioners including increased pensions and help with fuel bills. This booklet gives them all the advice they need to get the help they need.
“Pension credit is one of the ways the Government is helping the poorest pensioners, and earlier this year we increased it by the largest amount since it was introduced. I urge people to get all the help available to them by making sure they are getting benefits, like pension credit, they are entitled to.”
The booklet includes all of the information those over 60 need in one place, including help with:
• pensions and benefits
• fuel bills
• savings and managing your money
• those on a low income
• money problems
• keeping your home
• skills and learning
• jobs
